We were tasked with designing, supplying and installing a contemporary fireplace to complement the renovation in this beautiful property in Sutton Coldfield. A blank canvas, as there was no existing chimney, the chosen solution was the Rais Visio 3 framed with Promat firewall. The woodburning Rais Visio is an EcoDesign-ready, DEFRA-approved appliance so suitable for this area, and with its three-sided glass and guillotine door, it gives the character of an open fireplace central in the room.
The use of Promat in this design allowed us to use shadow-gaps to the disguise the vents and also allows the decorators a smooth finish to work with. The designer and customer were very pleased with the stunning centrepiece to this living room project.
